Owners of AR9100’s are requested to eliminate the center wire of the soft switch. This can be done by removing and cutting the center pin, or simply by snipping the center wire. Both methods are shown below, and will prevent any chance of a ground short occurring with switch input.
1. Use an X-acto knife to raise the center pin latch.
2. Pull on the red wire to remove the center pin from the connector.
3. Cut the red wire approximately 3-4mm back from the center pin.
4. The red wire should be short enough that it doesn't fit back into the connector.
1. Cut the red wire just above the connector.
2. Make another cut and remove a portion of the red wire.
